Rigid and elastic couplings

Rigid Couplings for sub-critical installations

In the case where the operating range of your installation is below the drive’s own frequency, it is a so-called under-critical installation. You can then use a rigid coupling to drive the installation.

Elastic couplings for above-critical installations

In installations where the operating range is above the drive’s own frequency, we speak of above-critical installations. In such installations, an elastic coupling is required to prevent damage to the installation.
