Steelflex is known for its durability in critical applications, proven performance and versatile design. As a result, Steelflex is the most widely used grid coupling in North America. Steelflex couplings offer several key advantages:

Absorption of shock loads

When subjected to normal shock or vibration loads, the Falk Steelflex coupling deforms torsionally. The original Falk Steelflex T-grid design provides superior vibration damping and reduces peak loads by up to 30%, reducing stress and wear on connected components.

Lower inventory costs

The modular design reduces the amount of spare parts required in inventory. For example, one can convert a close-coupled design into a full spacer simply by replacing the standard hubs with shaft and spacer hubs. A standard coupler can become suitable for high speeds by replacing the horizontal split cover with a vertical split cover.

With just a few additional parts, our customers can adapt their Falk Steelflex to a wide variety of applications.

Replaceable design

The “replace-in-place” design eliminates the need to move hubs or realign axles, reducing the time required to replace elements. When lubricated with Falk Long Term Grease (LTG), the low-maintenance Falk Steelflex coupling does not need to be relubricated for five years
