Slip clutches (Overload protection clutch)

Couplings that slip mechanically when overloaded. It uses high friction discs pressed together by springs. Caldic Techniek Belgium supplies the 200M, 250M, 330M, 500M and 700M torque limiters, among others.

Freewheel clutches (Freewheel clutch)

Freewheeling clutches allow force to be transmitted in one direction of rotation while the bearings continue to rotate in the other. We supply Stieber couplings as well as Cross & Morse’s own brand.

Chain Couplings (ShaftCouplings)

With a chain coupling, two sprockets are connected by a metal duplex chain. If a hazard occurs to the plant, the chain breaks, preventing damage to other more expensive components of the plant. Cross and Morse, among others, has a special version with a DELRIN plastic chain.
