In a chocolate biscuit production machine, we replaced the existing chain with a SEDIS chain with DELTA treatment on the pins.

DELTA® HR : to resist wear and abrasion : The pins are hardened to 1800 Vickers, so the service life is up to 3 – 4 times higher than standard chains.

HR stands for “High Resistance”.

As a result, DELTA chain now lasts twice as long and our customer is not currently considering replacing them.

This thermal surface treatment provides optimal corrosion protection ( 400 hours in the ASTM salt test) through cathodic protection and is ideal for very difficult applications. An additional advantage is that we combine the high tensile strength of steel with that cathodic protection. And on top of that, the shafts are hardened with the DELTA process, doubling to tripling the service life.

Chaînes Vertes (“green chain”) works either with composite bushings or oil-impregnated bushings. This eliminates the need to lubricate these chains, so better for the environment.
