Standard Neugart planetary gearbox customized to customer specification

Neugart gearboxes stand for German solidity; quality and longevity.
One of our customers, active in the development of packaging machines, experienced that the aluminum of the gearboxes is subject to corrosion due to moisture combined with aggressive cleaning agents.

Gearboxes in a full stainless steel version were an option, however, this version seemed too much of a good thing in this situation. In consultation with our customer, we therefore started looking for a suitable intermediate solution. For this we worked together with an industrial coater with whom we tested a number of coatings in practice. The result was a gearbox that is resistant to both aggressive cleaning agents and the high operating temperatures of 95°. This for the fraction of the price of a stainless steel delay box.

Adding value through Tailor-made solutions

In addition to providing the gearboxes with the proper surface treatment, taping off the parts not to be coated with custom sticker material, we replace the standard steel ring for a stainless steel ring. To facilitate the assembly process of these boxes in the machine for our customer, we place the input flange at a different angle.

After the gearbox meets all customer-specific requirements, it is provided with a Neugart QR code so that it is always clear which gearbox it is.
